This is our second Oggie Carafe. Our first one lasted 15 years! It is light weight and keeps our coffee hot for hours.

I have not tried this carafe out yet, but I am very pleased with the way it looks. It is just the right weight, and it has a nice feel to it.

I have been using one of these on a daily basis for about 4 months now. I am finally fed up with it and am looking to find a replacement.
Pro: I really does a good job of keeping the tea hot almost all day in an air conditioned room. No knocking it's thermal ability.
Con: The way the top and spout are designed it splashes quite a bit when pouring the contents into a cup. When you get down to the last cup you have to pretty much turn the carafe vertical to get the last of the contents out. This causes the contents to run thought the top (where the click to pour button is) and not out the spout making a mess. What I have done to work around this is to unscrew the top completely (thereby not using the convenient click to pour feature). This avoids most of the mess. There is still condensation on the inside of the lid so you do have to set is somewhere "safe". But at least this is a controlled decision of where the mess will end up.
Glass insert is a hazzard August 26, 2010

Be extremely careful when cleaning this carafe. I recently removed the glass insert to clean it out (water had gotten between the white thermal portion and the glass insert). I accidentally tapped it against the sink while washing it, and without exaggeration, this thing literally exploded into hundreds and hundreds of tiny glass shards. The glass was everywhere - I've never seen anything like it. I would not purchase this item.

I purchaced Oggi Linea 34 Ounce Thermal Carafe in March and have used it daily since. It looks good and keeps my morning coffee hot for at least 3 hours.
My complaint about it is with the top which fills up with water every time it is washed or rinsed, and also while it is in use, whatever liquid in the carafe gets inside the top. There is no way to clean inside the top. The liquid slowly drips out while I am holding it. After 5 months of use there is some scummy stuff coming out. I no longer use the carafe for this reason. Amazon needs to tell future buyers about this flaw, which I consider unsanitary and unhealthy.
