| Customer Reviews: 4.5 Stars: Better than my Starbuck's Tumbler March 14, 2009 Rachel Romano (Torino, Italy / Dayton, Ohio USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It seems I have been more fortunate than the first reviewer because I have not had any problems with this tumbler. I like having a lid to close over the part that I drink from to keep out dust, etc, while I am not actually using it. The seal has not leaked and my tea remains hot for about an hour. Maybe because I used typhoo tea (very strong), but neither did I have any plastic taste in my tea.
My one complaint with this product is something I can live with, but the holes in the tea basket are a little too large for my loose leaf tea. If you are buying this for loose leaf tea, don't. I drop my teabag in the basket, however, and it makes it easier to remove if I don't have a spoon handy. Hope this helps.
By the way, this isn't dishwasher safe. Since writing the review above, however, my mother in law has asked me to pick one of these up for her and I have added a second one to my own collection. So far no problems with any of the three that I have bought.
Great Gift! July 31, 2009 Rena (Chicago,IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this for my mother, an avid tea-drinker, and she absolutely loves it! She's had no problems with it and uses it every morning before she goes to work. I definitely recommend it to others.
Very convenient August 25, 2009 Elisadel (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received this as a gift a while ago and I've enjoyed using it a great deal.
I like that there's a basket to hold either tea bags or tea leaves, depending on what you feel like using. It has a small plastic handle attached that you can turn to point upward while the basket is in the tea so that it remains cool and it's easy to remove once the brewing is finished.
There's also a... I guess I'll call it a drinking cap. It's basically just a plastic cap on one side that has a set of holes at one end for tea to pass through so you can sip it. Nothing special, but nice to have to limit spilling.
Finally, there's the metal insulated cap for the whole thing.
If desired, for portability, you can put all of the caps on at once.
I've found that it keeps my tea warm extremely well, and in about 8 months of regular use I've had no issues at all with any kind of leaking.
It isn't microwave safe, and I don't believe it's intended to go into the dish washer either.
Enjoy your tea!
Tea Tumbler December 16, 2009 Stan Levasheff Very nice product. It works well. Had a problem with the lid
and the company, Liquid Solutions, quickly replaced the lid.
Will order from this company again.
Skip this one, save your money. February 24, 2009 Tessa Dagger (Wales, Massachusetts) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'll be brief: IT LEAKS.
I bought this to show off my new Primula blooming tea, and had high hopes. Unfortunately, the plasticky taste didn't quite go away with washing, and the seam of the cup leaks like crazy when you tip it. The whole point of a tumbler like this is portability. Unless you like walking everywhere with wet patches on your clothing, in your bag or in your purse, this thing is not for you.
Splurge on a better quality unit instead of wasting $15 on this hunk of drippy plastic.
