Slushie machine February 14, 2010 Sheena Myslicki 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Everyone in our family have enjoyed this machine. It works great, even thinking about getting one for out at the lake too.

I recieved the Nostalgia RSM-650 Retro Vertical Slush Machine a month ago and I am very pleased with the product. I enjoy that whenever i want i can make my favorite beverage with out the hassle of going out to a store to get it. The only draw back is that it doesnt make enough.
It looked good March 17, 2009 R. Ballard (Red House, wv United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The product looked like it was constructed well. It worked as advertised, but was extremely loud. Loud enough to drown out the sound from my 1000 watt surround sound system turned up to 7 out of 10.
you can only run it for 45mins at a time. I ran it just long enough to make the slushie, about 25 to 30 mins. On my 9th time of using the machine it stop working. unfortunatly it took 36 days for me to use it 9 times, and of course it is only returnable for 30 days.
Now I must pay $25. to return it to the manufacturer for repair. This ups the price for the product to almost $100, hopefully I'll get more than another 9 slushies. 9 slushies for $50 = $5.56 per slushie not including price of salt slushie mix and ice. I'll let you decide if thats a good deal.
Slush Machine Review May 17, 2010 Ray (FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Slush machine works pretty well. I only have 2 issues with the machine.
First, when I unpacked and assembled it, it did work. It did nothing when it was plugged in and turned on. I'm fairly handy and figured out that it was not getting any power to the motor. So I turned the base upside down, unscrewed thew bottom of it so that I could see the wiring and motor. What I found was that one of the two wires that come soddered to the motor was not attached. The sodder job from the factory was poor and just came off. So I re-attached the wire and now it works. I did that myself because I figured that re-packaging it, shipping it, and waiting for another one would be costly, time consuming and a hassle. I fixed it in about 20 minutes.
The second and only complaint now that it's working is that it is VERY loud! It works great but during the 15-20 minutes that it has to run to make the slushy it is extremely loud.
Makes great ICEES!

We did not like this product and returned it (still waiting for credit)
It was very messy to use. Took 25 minutes to create drink. The biggest problem was all the noise. We have a mini-slush machine that creates 8 ounce drinks in about 1 minutes with less noise.
