| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The French bee was originally chosen during the coronation of Napoleon to appear on his official coat of arms. The la Rochere glass collection was inspired by an authorized travel set belonging to Napoleon in which the bee pattern was used. Today that pattern is displayed in a Paris museum, the delightful 3-dimensional bee adorning each piece of la Rochere glassware. La Rochere glass is known for its uniquely clear and beautiful look, yet is sturdy -- heavy-duty enough for every day use, and dishwasher safe. Founded in 1475, the la Rochere factory is the oldest glass factory in France, producing this unique and collectible glassware by melting a mixture (around 1450 degrees centigrade) of sand, soda, and lime, with other added ingredients.

| Customer Reviews: La Rochere Glassware September 11, 2009 Mrs Simpson I own a set of La Rochere glasses, the smaller 10 oz, and I found them to be quite heavy and substantial, especially for a smaller glass. They are so lovely and graceful and the glass is wonderfully clear. I cannot wait to expand my collection!
La Rochere Bee Decor 14 Ounce Glass September 12, 2009 Rosemary B. Miller (Roanoke, VA USA) I love the bee decor design. I had been looking for a decent size glass for tea in this pattern but disappointed when I saw how thin the glass became at the rim. I chipped one in a matter of a day or two. The main portion of the glass is very substantial. These glasses do not work for me since they so easy to chip. I am sad to say I would not recommend buying these glasses.
Too fragile February 1, 2010 Toni A. Cox (Skillman, NJ United States) Unlike the rest of the La Rochere glasses these are thin walled and fragile; they crack and chip easily.
I wish they made a solid 16 oz. iced tea glass.
Poorest quality ever from Amazon September 11, 2009 Beth 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been coveting La Rochere glasses for quite a while. The price was a steal for the 14 oz Bee variety at Amazon, so I thought I would get some, as all our glasses seem to be disappearing. They arrived yesterday, and I was so disappointed. Upon opening them, of 6, one was chipped around the rim, and two had flaws in the glass. Additionally, the glass is very thin...seems to be very cheap and would probably break pretty easily. I've never had La Rochere before, but from reading other reviews, I was under the impression they were of a nicer quality. These are definitely going back to Amazon.
Break very easily November 27, 2009 Mary E. DeMuth (Texas) While the shorter, squat glasses are very thick all the way through, this one is incredibly thin at the top. Therefore, they break easily. We've had them a few months and several have broken (none of the short glasses have broken, which says to me that this is a design flaw.) If I were buying these glasses, I'd purchase the tall 12 ounce ones that are thick all the way through.
